Celeb finalists in SA’s biggest youth popularity contest announced
Which celebs, sports stars and entertainers do SA’s youth rate as the “Coolest”?
Johannesburg, 4 April 2017: SA’s “coolest” local celebs, sports personalities, radio shows and local TV soaps have been decided by the results of the thirteenth annual Sunday Times Generation Next Youth survey, in association with leading youth market specialists, HDI Youth Marketeers. The survey polls more than five thousand youths from around the country, across more than seventy categories, and is considered the leading barometer of what SA’s kids, teens and young adults find on-trend and aspirational.
Catherine Bothma, MD at HDI, stressed the fact that the influence and role celebrities play in the lives of youth is evident in the study, that youth will continuously look up to celebrities who do good, are quirky & confident and are an inspiration for them to achieve their dreams.
SA’s coolest Celeb, Product and Brand winners will receive their awards at the packed Awards extravaganza at the Sandton Convention Centre on Thursday, 11 May 2017. Whackhead Simpson will be performing MC duties.
